01What we do
Plumbrook reviews online games for players and families in the UK. We only write about games we have played properly online, over several sessions, with friends and with strangers. Every review gives a typical sitting, the natural place to stop, what the game costs once you are playing and who it suits.
02Why splits?
Speedrunners decide every split of a run before the timer starts, and they stop exactly where they planned. We think that is the healthiest habit in gaming culture, so the whole site is built around it: every game is a split, and every run ends on Log off.
03Who writes the reviews
A small team of long-time players, from calm puzzle games to team shooters and big online worlds, alongside parents who try the family controls on each platform we mention.
04How the site is funded
Not by anyone in the games business. There are no adverts, affiliate links, sponsored reviews or products. We host no games, run no accounts and take no payments.
05Conflicts of interest
If a reviewer has a personal or professional link to a game, someone else reviews it and the review says so. We accept no gifts, trips or early access in exchange for coverage.
06The artwork
Every image of a game is an original illustration made for this site in that game’s visual style. None of it is official artwork, a screenshot or a real person. Our logo is our own.
07Why UK English?
British spelling, UK age labels and UK support services. No pop-ups, no autoplaying video and no tracking.
